Screen overbooking detection
Managing screens and campaigns just got smarter. MDS now continuously analyses loop policies, campaign schedules, and content durations to detect overbooking each time there is a change screen schedules. MDS identifies when a screens content bookings exceeds the defined loop duration. All overbooking periods; down to the hour or minute are detected.
To make things even easier, overbooked screens are instantly flagged in the dashboard for quick action. With just one click, you can jump into an interactive calendar with weekly and monthly views. Use the new overbooking filter to quickly find affected screens and campaigns. We’ve added an alert in the daily status report, ensuring you’re always aware of overbooked campaigns. This feature empowers media owners to quickly identify and resolve issues to ensure campaigns delivery to maximum efficiency.

Campaign and screen management – IAB category controls
MDS now supports IAB category controls, allowing users to block specific ad categories at the screen level. When creating a campaign, users can define its IAB category(s), which MDS can also fetch from the advertiser if available.
During scheduling, MDS automatically excludes screens that block the campaign’s category or its parent category, ensuring only relevant screens are booked. This feature simplifies campaign management, helping users enforce content restrictions while keeping their inventory aligned with the right advertisers.

Smarter loop policies
MDS has expanded loop policies to give users even greater control. In addition to defining the ad loop duration, minimum and maximum ad spot durations, and default settings, users can now choose the ad spot duration type to estimate both max weekly ad plays and max weekly impressions for each screen. Whether you prefer a best or worst-case scenario, the system allows users to tailor estimations based on the ad spot duration you prefer.
This information can be used to estimate the maximum number of campaigns that can run simultaneously at the selected ad spot duration, without resulting in screen overbooking. Additionally, the system now displays the number of ad cycles per hour that the loop policy will yield. For those who need to analyse this data externally, we’ve made it easier than ever; see the next section.

Export screens to CSV – support for enhanced screen capacity insights
To make revenue forecasting easier, MDS has expanded the export screens to CSV feature to include max screen play capacity and max weekly impressions per screen. This update enables media network owners to easily download all key data on screen play and impression capacity in one file. This makes analysing estimated delivery potential easier.

Introducing the revamped campaign listing page
MDS’s has revamped the campaign listing display page to make it easier for users to access the most relevant information quickly. The page now displays the advertiser and campaign start and end dates. Color-coded indicators enable quick status recognition. Additionally, when you hover over the dates, users will see a list of all periods a campaign was active. This is especially useful for campaigns that run across multiple time periods.

More insights, more control
Monthly breakdown is now supported in the proof of play report. In addition to the existing options for hourly, daily, and entire activity period, users can now view data grouped by state, advertiser, and more, all within a monthly view.
